Saturday, 30 April 2011, BEAN POLE DAY
At this event at Caversham Court Gardens, Reading Econet, a local conservation group,
sells sustainably harvested bean poles, usually either ash or hazel, and twiggy pea sticks.
Reading Gardeners will have its own table, especially to sell vegetable seedlings and herbs,
but also flowering plants.
The sale proceeds will go to our funds and it is also a good opportunity to promote the Society.
The event takes place from 10.0 am to 3.0. p.m. and the tea kiosk in the gardens will be open.
It would be much appreciated if members could donate plants for sale at our stall.
These can be brought to the Gardens at any time from 9.0. a.m onwards on the day of the sale.
A Committee member, Cally Jenkins, has kindly offered to organise our stall.
Her phone no. is 0118 933 1075 and her email address is callyjenkins@aol.com
She also needs offers of help to man the stall.
